Sign-Out Rules

Each piece of equipment must be signed out on a separate equipment slip.

All equipment must be returned on time: No later than 72 Hours

If you want to keep any equipment for a long time, you must bring the equipment to show the lab assistant before you get to re-new it.

If you have not returned your equipment on time, you cannot use darkrooms during Open labs,or sign any other equipment.

Sign-Out Equipment from the Cageroom (INSIDE the Lab ONLY)

Print name and SSN# at bottom of the one slip and sign your name

Slip must be dated and time punched.

Write down loan equipment you wish to borrow (You can sign out more than one equipment in one slip.

Give cage assistant the slip loan and your ID

Sign-In Equipment to the Cageroom (INSIDE the Lab)

Return the equipment to the cage room and inform assistant that you are finished with the equipment.

Sign-Out Equipment from The Cageroom (Outside of the labs)

Print name and SSN# at the bottom of the each slip and sign your name.

Write down one equipment on one slip. If you wish to borrow more than one slip, you will need to write more than one slip.

Slip(s) must be dated and time punched.

Give the slip(s) to the assistant.

Check the equipment to see if everything is in order.

Check the equipment if it is/are working properly.

72 Hours (3 Days)/Weekend (Fri-Sun) and 48 Hours (2 Days) Due Limit of Equipment
Most equipment allows 72 hours.

Sign-In Equipment From The Cageroom (Outside of the Lab)

All Equipment Must Be Returned On Time

Return all the equipment to the cage room.

Notify assistant if any equipment has problem, missing, or batteries need replaced. Assistant will notify Lab Manager and fill out the discrepancy forms.

Notify assistant if you wish to continue to use the equipment and get re-new. Renew gives you another 2 or 3 days extension.
