History: In recent months, several printers came out with PS errors, which are caused by Page Setup or other kind of problems, causing the printers to run the prints until the paper is out. More recently, someone printed 500+ with PS error one evening. Sometimes, the printer gets hung up because of wrong size, page set up or anything with incorrect set up will pause the printer until someone cancels the quene. This situation is causing some trouble for students using the printers. Often times, the printer(s) may require turning it off and re-starting it. Papers: We have regular white bond paper (20lbs) and we use it for AIS class assignments ONLY. We also have quality white photo papers (28lbs) which we use for portfolio or class assignments THAT ARE ASSIGNED BY FACULTY. AIS department has decided that AIS students stop using AIS printers for non-AIS assignments. Using our printers for non-AIS assignment like English, Creative Studies, or other program is prohibited. Please use printers in NTID Learning Center (NLC) or Wallace Library for other non-AIS assignments. Any student, who violates the AIS Printer Policy, will be reported to the chairperson and receive for disciplinary action. We appreciate your cooperation. AIS Faculty and Staff |
