What is Open Lab? |
Open Labs is to have the labs opened for all DIPT students. The Open labs mostly open from 6pm to 10pm on weekdays, on weekends from 1pm to 5pm. The lab assistant will have the access to open the labs, set up the machines, and supervise the labs at the hours of Open Labs. You must cooperate with Lab Assistants to clean up labs, close up the computers, etc. Lab Assistant will report to me if there are any problems in labs and I will solve the problems the next days. Each Quarter, the schedules may be changed, sometimes same as before, depending on schedules during evening classes. Facilities Coordinator will post the Classtime Open Labs Schedules each quarter through the webpage at http://www.rit.edu/~jtonvc/ You must give your ID to Lab assistant and sign your name, time and what station (darkrooms or computers) you plan to use and write down on the attendance sheet. When you are done, inform assistant that you are finished and assistant will check on your station and if satisfied, assistant will give you your ID and sign time out on the attendance sheet. Please notify the lab assistant if you need any help with computers, printings, or set up the photo paper processors (B/W or Color) Lab assistants are trained how to set up and shut down the processors. |
